Creamy avocado meets flavourful chickpeas in this plant-based toast. Zingy lemon, savoury feta and a touch of garlic, and a swipe of mayo on golden wholemeal toast make it a flavour-packed bite.

In a bowl, mash the chickpeas and avocado together until chunky-smooth. Add olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper, and mix well.
Toast the slices of Hovis® Farmhouse Batch Wholemeal until golden and spread a thin layer of mayo onto each toasted slice, then top with the chickpea-avocado mash.
Sprinkle it with chilli flakes and fresh parsley or coriander. Serve immediately with a wedge of lemon or a poached egg if desired.
